Jelly Bean Meet

The Jelly Bean Meet is a treasured SBP Dolphins tradition. All 8-and-under swimmers are welcome (even if they’re not team members), so invite your neighbors and friends. There are even parent-assisted events for swimmers who aren’t ready to swim across the pool. SBP 8-and-under swimmers are expected to participate in the Jelly Bean Meet, so parents should notify the coaches if their child cannot attend. 9- to 12-year-old swimmers serve as timers and “officials,” and candy and ribbons are awarded to all swimmers. The meet is about an hour long, and the pool is OPEN throughout the meet. Many families bring dinner to the pool and stay for the evening. The Jelly Bean Meet is a highlight of the season!

Dolphin Dash - 5K Run/Walk

The Dolphin 5K serves as the team’s major fundraiser and has become a great neighborhood event that continues the Dolphins’ tradition of friendship and fun through athletic participation. The Dolphin 5k is a registered official USATF race. After a several year hiatus, the Dolphin Dash is back for 2026.

Memorial Meet (through 2022)

Held on the morning of July 4, the Memorial Meet honored past swimmers and parents who had died. All races were 25 meters, and a small per-entry donation was requested; the meet was a charity event. Parents and Dolphins alumni also swam. The meet took the place of morning practice on July 4, so all swimmers usually swam. Memorial Meet was a really special and fun morning, and all Dolphins families were encouraged to participate.
