Code of Conduct
COACHES
- Set a good example for swimmers, exemplifying the highest standard of behavior for athletes
- Make no derogatory comments or gestures toward swimmers, coaches, opposing team parents, or officials
- Respect the judgment of officials; abide by the rules of competition
- Treat opposing coaches, swimmers, and fans with respect
- Instruct swimmers in sportsmanship and demand that they display good sportsmanship
- Coach in a positive manner
SWIMMERS
- Treat opponents, teammates, coaches, and parents with respect
- Respect the judgment of officials and abide by the rules of competition
- Display positive behavior at all times
PARENTS
- Serve as positive role models during practices and competitions
- Respect decisions made by meet officials
- Communicate with coaches; ensure that coaches know in advance if your swimmer will be absent from a meet
- Make no derogatory comments or gestures toward swimmers, coaches, opposing team parents, or officials
- Be prompt in meeting financial obligations to the team (including payments for registration, team apparel and spirit wear, and awards banquet)
- Abide by your volunteer commitments
